Children and Young People
We believe that our children are a vital part of the Church and aim to make provision for children of all ages.
Sundays
At the same time as the main morning service, children's groups ranging from ages 3 years to 13 take place in the hall, and there are always people willing to help parents who have small children in church with them (just ask).
Mondays (term time)
3:30 to 4:30, a children's club is run at Down's Farm Community Centre. This is aimed at 5-7 year olds, with craft activities.
Thanksgiving for the birth of a child, Baptism and Confirmation. Please contact the Vicar for information about any of these.
Treasure Seekers' Week, For many years, during the summer holiday, we have run this week for children aged 8-12 years during August. A fun time with activities relating to the bible, outings, crafts etc.
School visits
We welcome visits by classes from the local schools and will organise programmes to suit your needs - from Reception to A-level. Please contact the Vicar.
Uniformed groups
The Church supports a Scout Group - with Cubs, a Guide group, and a Brownie pack.
Youth Group
Christ Church Ore Youth Club is an activities-based club for young people aged between 13-18 years. The club meets every Monday evening during school term time, 7.30 - 9.30 p.m. at Christ Church Ore hall, Old London Road.
